Stamp-a-ma-jig

Say goodbye to those crooked stamped images! This is the product that does the trick.
Stamp-a-ma-jig. Yeah it has a funny name but what else would you call it? I had no clue what this was when I saw it in the SU! catalog. I looked at it for a second with a "what's that" look on my face and moved on. I wish I would have done a little research right then, it sure would have saved me a lot of trouble and frustration. I've now seen the light and I hope you will too, believe me this is a MUST have tool for your craft kit.

This product is awesome. Yes, it does add an additional step but the outcome is well worth the extra time. You will have your stamped images placed EXACTLY where you want them and never have to worry about it being crooked. This is great for those who have Stampin' UP!'s two step stamps.

OK, enough rambling on about how great it is, let me tell you what it is! It is a small T shaped tool (made for both right and left handed) that also comes with a reusable wipeable image sheet. All you do is align your tool with the sheet and stamp your image. Next take you image sheet and line it to where you want your final image. Once you have selected a spot, line your tool up once more with the image sheet, then remove the image sheet and stamp once more directly on to your project. Perfect everytime!! There are many tutorials on this product just search for Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Exciting Pre-Order...

I can't even begin to explain how excited I am!! Today Stampin' UP! revealed it's sneak peak items for the upcoming catalog! I was on the computer bright and early so I would be one of the first to put an order in. The new In Colors are gorgeous! When I first saw them online a while back I wasn't to thrilled, but let me tell you, my opinion sure has changed! The new colors are Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze. Even though I will be sad to see the current catalog's in colors go (my faves wild wasabi and purely pomegranate) having these new wonderful colors softens the pain =)

Pre-orders are definitely the biggest plus to being a demonstrator. The new stamp sets are awesome and I cannot wait until UPS is knocking at my door!! This sneak peak is for sure building up the excitment to the new catalog that is coming out in August! The new hostess sets are definitely worth throwing a party and reaching that $150.00 goal! On top of all of this great new stuff, ALL new stamp sets will be die cut!!! Thats right, on all new stamp sets you will no longer have to trim your own stamps, just peel and mount!!!

Thanks SU! fall/ winter 08 is going to be great! =)

Embossing on Encore ink....

Ok, so yesterday I was reading my weekly newsletter from Split Coast Stampers (which is awesome, by the way, you should check it out http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/) Anyway they were talking about how Encore ink smudges even after it is dry. I love Encore ink because it is metallic and they have a nice selection of colors, but I have experienced the same problem. I always worry when I send out a card how it will hold up. Now no need to worry when using this ink! Encore is GREAT for embossing! Just throw a little clear embossing powder on your stamped image, use your Stampin' UP! heat gun and Voila! You have a wonderful project on your hands! It will have a finished look and be 100% smudge-proof!

What I LOVE about Stampin' UP!

I'm totally new to the whole "blogging" thing but I thought I would give it a shot! I figure this is the best way to share my passion for crafting and my NEW hobby stamping!! So here it goes!!

I recently became a "hobby" demonstrator for Stampin' UP! I joined so I would have total access to all of their products and be able to share them with others. In my opinion, SU! has the highest quality cardstock and designer paper around! The ink pads they offer are so vibrant in color and their artwork and quality of designs for their rubberstamps is unmatched. Their catalog is over 200 pages long and not only serves as a way to see all of the wonderful things they offer, but in addition, it is an idea book!!! It definitely comes in handy when you want to try new projects!

What I love most about SU! is the excitement I get from making handmade cards. It is so nice to connect with someone other than on the internet or on the phone. With my husband being in the military we are many miles away from family and it makes them feel special when they receive a card I've made especially for them. I mean, come on, who doesn't like to get something other than junk in the mail!

SU! has something for EVERYONE! They have beautiful stamp sets for every occasion or memory for scrapbooking. My favorites are the florals they offer. Their is no limit on the possibilities you can come up with.

I will try to blog on a regular basis and post some of my projects on here. If you have ANY questions or would just like to talk about stamping contact me at Butterflynikki16@aol.com!!
